Developing a Trade Finance Analytics Value, Chain While Establishing Risk Management Solutions
Sohail Farooq, Founder; CEO – BBA – A Risk Tech Company
Trade finance analytics: 2024 saw gains in most sectors despite a weaker labor market. Tariffs will pressure retail and tech sectors as their reliance on global supply chains may drive up consumer costs. This shift will reduce consumer spending power, even as it boosts demand for U.S.-made goods. However, these tariffs could also stoke inflation, negatively impacting businesses that rely on U.S.-based supply chains. Overall, this uncertainty sets up a bearish outlook for 2025. Disrupting supply chains means searching for alternatives. This talk will focus on developing a secure supply chain using trade finance.
With over 25 years of experience in positions with management responsibility, and as a consultant, Sohail specializes in the development, testing and validation of financial and enterprise risk modelling applications and assists clients with implementation of the cutting-edge AI algorithms for reporting & automation.
